Spring has spring here in Virginia beach and it’s time to go fishing! Last night matador charters ran its first trip of the year and we went to the eastern shore to fish at the mouth of the Chesapeake bay for red drum and black drum aboard the "toro" boat. While the fishing wasnt on fire, we had several drum bites, caught a citation sized red drum that we released, brought home a black drum for the grill, and also released several sharks. It was really great to get out on the water and starting off our charter fishing season with a citation is really a great start to our 2019 Virginia beach charter fishing season.
