For those who wish to do an inshore fishing charter out of Virginia Beach, the fishing is getting very good. We have seen the drum fishing become progressively better over the last couple weeks and now we are at worst getting several bites per charter. For some of our charters the inshore fishing for red drum and black drum has been on fire and we are seeing very good catches and plenty of trophy catches of both species. The time for drum fishing out of Virginia Beach is now. We can catch these drum for about the next two weeks in 3/4 day inshore charters and full day inshore charters. After that the attention will shift focus inshore to spanish mackerel, bluefish, sharks, and cobia.
Offshore fishing out of Virginia Beach, we should begin to see tunas in on the dock any day but catches of sharks and bottomfish including sea bass, tilefish, golden tilefish, and grouper have been good.
