Today at Matador Charters, we fished a half day inshore charter in Rudee Inlet. Our charter today was a family with a young man who was celebrating his birthday and these kids wanted to catch some fish. We fished inside Rudee Inlet for bluefish and had very good results. In our four hours of fishing on the half day charter trip, we caught almost a limit of bluefish (50) with an average size of about two to three pounds. This was really great, really fun fishing and these kids had a blast. We are currently available for a half day inshore charter EVERY DAY of this upcoming week. I only have one offshore fishing report from yesterday. One offshore charter boat fished in the gulf stream out of Oregon Inlet, NC and they had a limit of yellowfin tuna and a couple gaffer dolphin. This is really good news for deep sea charter fishing boats out of Rudee inlet in Virginia Beach, because the tuna and dolphin are within range and we can take our sport fishing clients to wherer the tuna and dolphin are. This offshore fishing in the gulf stream should continue to get better with each passing day and we look forward to a good tuna fishing season in upcoming weeks.
